RH7 with Windows 7?

Does anyone know if I can use RH7 with Windows 7? I actually have the full version of X5 plus an upgrade to RH7 so would need to install them both.

Thanks

Hi there

Ankur Jain (RoboHelp Product Manager) blogged about Windows 7 and RoboHelp version 8 working together, but I've not seen anything definitive on version 7. I'm assuming it would work, but if it's the 64 bit version of Windows 7, I've seen numerous reports of other applications (namely, Captivate) that have issues with it. The weird part is that not everyone has issues and not everyone sees the same issues.

Whatever you do, you will likely need to configure things so that RoboHelp runs as an administrator. Additionally, you may find that you need to configure it so it runs in "XP Compatibility mode". There are many articles to be found using Google that tell you how to run an application this way in Windows 7.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks Rick. I'm going to try it out on a friend's machine so I'll update this post when I have anything to report.
