RH8 image issue

New Here ,
Oct 24, 2009 Oct 24, 2009

I have updated to RH8 and Windows 7 at the same time. RH8 will not store images in Project Manager Images folder and consequently will not compile images into help files although preview files work OK. Old RH files with previously stored images work OK but will not accept any new images.

Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance....

Hi there

LOL, it's always fun when you try to troubleshoot an issue when multiple things are new, no?

Okay, you say things were fine in older RoboHelp projects. Hmm

First off, try as we might to help everyone, we need to delay any possible answer by asking you more questions.

What RoboFlavor are you using? RoboHelp for Word or RoboHelp HTML?

How exactly are you attempting to add the images? (For example, if you are using RoboHelp HTML, you might be thinking you can simply add the images to the project without inserting them into a topic.)

Cheers... Rick

Hi Rick, thanks for early reply. I am using RoboHelp HTML and placing images (.jpg) into the topics using the 'insert image' picture frame. Shouldnt they then apear in the images folder in the project manager?

If I preview the topic using the spectacles the page looks good however, when I compile into Flash Help (or any of the other formats) the images are not included in the finished file although the size and space is allocated and has the red 'x' in top left corner as when images are missing in a normal web page.
