RH9 - Printed documentation ok with Word - Errors with PDF.

Community Beginner ,

Using RH9 to  produce printed documentation. All ok if the 'Generate Word output' option is selected and a word doc of approx 680 produces ok.

If I deselect the 'generate Word output and select 'Generate PDF' all appears to be generating ok util the end of generation when it throws up an error message.

Anyone else had this issue?

A couple of questions. Is this problem limited to one project? What happens if you create the Word file and then save as a PDF from it?

Hello,

Yes I can generate it this way. However when I do this the TOC is listed correctly but I can't click an entry in the TOC and be taken to the relevant page. When generating a PDF directly from RH this feature is available.

Perhaps there is a setting somewhere else that enables this feature ?.

Yes seems to be one project only. I'm guessing its the size of the output ?!? Test a smaller project and all works ok.

Have you tried creating a new project and creating a PDF from that? Also can you just confirm that the D: drive you are generating to is a hard drive and not a network one.

Sorry our posts crossed. It sounds like something in the project is causing the PDF generation to choke. The problem is finding out what that is. Some detective work is required I feel.
