Hello

I use RoboHelp 11 in my company.

Since a few days, I can't launch or even create a new project in RH.

I have the following error message :

"Unable to open the file ...\$rhvariable$.htm. Out of memory starting the editor services."

Then, impossible to do anything, the software closes.

As suggested by Adobe support, I deleled .xpj and .cpp files. Then, tried to open .hhp file but it failed.

My project is saved locally and not on the network.

Do you know what is this file?

Does anyone encounter a similar problem?

Thanks in advance.

You say that you cannot launch RoboHelp but you go onto to say that opening with the HHP file fails. How are you openng the HHP file if you cannot start RoboHelp?

I think in your situation would be uninstalling RoboHelp, rebooting and then reinstalling RoboHelp. It is simple enough and will not affect any existing projects. Before trying to open any projects, apply the updates to Version 11. Apply Update 4 as the earlier updates are included.

Let us know whether or not that changes things. Especially if you can then at least open RoboHelp as there's more to try.

What version of Windows are you on?
