Hi Peter. I am having this issue and have tried all the solutions I have found--deleting the Publish folder and copying the files. Deleting the Output Preset from within RH and copying it anew. When I open the project, all of the Publish profiles are intact in the Output Preset. All of the files show synced on our SharePoint site for both of us--the other writer can see the exact same file date / time for the preset. However, when she opens the RH project and navigates to the Output Preset and clicks the Publish link to see the Publish profiles, the entire list is missing ... but I can see the list when I open the same exact project. Again, it appears that the preset file is the same file for both of us--everything shows synced--we can even update a topic separately and see the other's updates--so I know the syncing is working. Do you have any other ideas what we can try or why she might not be seeing the list of Publish profiles? We have several children projects with a parent, and I can see the Publish profiles in all of them--she can see none.

As an added note, I also tried deleting the .rh folder contents.

So you're using SP for source control of the RH project?

Yes. But we aren't using the collaboration tool at this point.

I'll look in the morning but this thread was about missing presets and you are talking about publishing profiles. This should have been a new thread.

Thanks. My apologies--I guess because my coworker is missing all of the Publish profiles for the same, synced Output Preset ... but I am not missing any, I thought it was potentially related to this problem.

Publish profiles are machine specific. Did your co-worker lose them or are you expecting to automatically see them on their machine? You won't.

Okay. So to clarify ... only the Output Presets will carry over to others' projects, not the Publish Profiles. Each person accessing the RH project would need to create their own Publish Profiles. I thought I read that they should display per the project. But it sounds like you're telling me that even though they can see the Output Preset, the list of Publish Profiles will need to be recreated per person accessing the project. Is that correct?

To answer your question ... the coworker did not lose them. I created Publish profiles for each child project to send directly to our web server. I anticipated that these profiles were part of the preset file and that they would carry over when the files synced and display for any coworkers who open said RH project. However, that isn't the case; she can see the Output Preset, but the Publish profiles page is blank for her. I was wondering if it isn't in the Preset itself, where is this data stored and can it be copied to other users' machines?

Correct

Nope.

Yes

Many of the options in the Output tab have Export options. Connection Profiles are not shown there and if you look at the Collaborate options there is no Export. The settings are not part of the project and cannot be copied. You have to create them on each users machine.

Thanks for the confirmation, Peter. At least now I know we aren't going crazy.
