Hello,
I’ve recently installed RoboHelp 9 (with patch 9.0.2) on an Windows 7 (sp1) computer. I’ve installed Word 2010 in standard Word 2010 mode and also the layout options is in Word 2010.
I start RoboHelp for Word and RoboHelp Explorer starts and opens an HelpFile.docx in Word 2010. Know the HelpFile.docx runs in compatibility mode in Word 2010.
Why is this? Is there an option to solve this problem or are the templates of RoboHelp 9 too ‘old’ for Word 2010?
PS.
I use the next workaround. I save the HelpFile.docx as Word2010.docx format. Then I open this HelpFile.docx and it then opens in Word 2010 format (not in compatibility mode).

The aren't too many supporters of the RoboHelp for Word forum now. I only occasionally look at it to try to help.
I guess you could try editing the properties of the underlying template but make a backup copy of it first. I have no way of knowing if that change will upset RoboHelp somewhere along the way.
On the other hand, if it ain't broke...

I wondered similar when I recently upgraded a longstanding project from Word 2003 formatted documents to word 2010 documents. (This being necessary because of compiled project search result issues I was having in the 9.02 patch). I note that the base template for all word documents is RoboHelp.DOT a word 2003 format of template. Despite using word 2010 that uses *.DOTM (macro enabled Template) or DOTX (2010 non macro enabled template) robohelp itself even in the latest word 2010 compatible version insists on using the old word 2003 format template. *.DOT. For some reason Adobe have not enabled use of the appropriate Word 2010 format templates (Well that is how it appears to me) I tried replacing the robohelp dot with a DOTM / DOTX template, but no luck. program would not run I would think the Robohelp would need to run with a Macro enabled template DOTM if that was available to use but clearly not an option at this time. Maybe this is not an option because of bacward compatibility issues ? but an eithor /or option to use a template in word 2003, 2007 or 2010 native formats would be nice in other words when using word 2010 it should not be dependent on using a word 2003 format template.
It does make me wonder if the compatibility mode issues were the root cause of some ofthe issues I was having earlier in build result / Search result issues ?
