I have a general question around program performance. I have several Word files linked in a RH9 project, and these files live on a network shared drive. Ever since linking to these documents the program runs extremely slow, and takes forever to generate an output.
Why would linking to documents on a shared drive slow down RH9? I've linked to documents on SharePoint with no issue, however on a shared drive it's extremely slow, and even becomes unresponsive.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Jerry

I think this is one to throw at your IT people. The fact that you get decent performance from the Sharepoint server suggests the issue is not RoboHelp and I haven't seen others report this.

Yep, indeed the shared drive was extremely malresourced. Everything is on Sharepoint now, and working just fine.
