Hi,
I'm using TCS4. I linked an FM book in Robohelp. Everytime Robohelp converts an FM Inset, it hangs. For some reason, the Adobe Distiller decodes the Inset as an image (divided in pages, sized according to the anchored frame in the Inset.) The Inset has conditional text as well.
Can you help?
Thanks!
Kai

Try importing first - if that works, then do up a small sample and report the linking issue as a bug.

Thanks Jeff.
I did a Robohelp update to version 10.0.1.292. It did not hang after.
But the anchored frame graphics from text insets did not go through. Most of the output graphics are white (blank). What I observe is, if the anchored frame contains more than one entity (say jpg photos and with FM arrows and FM text added), it ends up as a blank jpg. But single entity graphic in text inset turns out fine.
If I add the text inset content into the main document, all the graphics turn out fine.
Same outcome for importing and linking.

Good to know that the patch did something for your situation.
Regarding your graphics - I can't offer too much guidance since I don't really work with them much in my FM to RH project, but I seem to recall some early TCS webinar where RJ Jacquez talked about sticking a graphic and a bunch of captions and callouts all inside a single anchored frame to get them to come over. It wouldn't work if they were all separate - they had to be grouped together and captured inside a single anchored frame.
Again, if you can whip up a simple example that illustrates the failure, report it to Adobe and send it to them - they like to work on examples that are broken to analyze them.

Thanks Jeff.
I grouped the graphics into one entity in a single anchored frame. Still, the output shows a blank graphic after converting from a FM book with text insets to RH.
I tried "Use Distiller to Generate Image" & "Do Not regenerate Images" options separately, and the outcome are the same - blank graphics.
I reported the bug to Adobe. There is no avenue to attach my files for them to analyze though.

Sorry, you're right about the bug reporting - I was thinking of the support call portal - that one allows the upload of example files
