Hi folks,
I just recently set my RoboHelp Frameless Output to a new start page - but it is not working.
My original start page is "index.htm". I changed it to "Welcome_to_PartsWatch.htm". This did not work.
What did I do wrong?
My "default topic" is also "Welcome_to_PartsWatch.htm"

Start page is what opens the whole help comprising the TOC, the default topic and the toolbar. I guess Welcome_to_PartsWatch.htm is the default topic.

I have it as both "Default Topic" and "Start Page".
Only the start page comes up when compiled, even though it says url.com/welcome_to_partswatch.htm

The start page and default topic are two different things, as I said. The start page is not a topic, it is a container. In the start page field enter index.htm and all will be well. It will open with the default topic in it.

Peter,
Yup, I have done all that, and I can get the topic text displayed in the index.htm opening screen. What I was looking for was to turn the whole topic into the landing page, not the index.htm with the topic underneath.
This is because I am requested to put the menu on the home page, but I think I figured it out.
I unchecked "Use Template Homepage"

Using Home Page gives you icons for the top level books rather than the traditional TOC.

Yup, and my company asked me to remove those. So our home page is just a search bar. I have informed them that without making a topic the home page, they won't be getting their menu.

I thought the idea was to put a hamburger icon on that first screen and then link it to your Welcome page topic?

Instead, I just have the landing page of the website be the Welcome Page.
