RoboHelp Upgrade

Our company, AP Technology, purchased the Robohelp upgrade. We have used a older vision for many years (3.0). When we looked on-line and saw the Adobe Robohelp site and they stated clearly that you could upgrade from ANY version of Robohelp we jumped on it and spend the $500. When the package arrived I was very happy all the way to the point it asked for the Serial number of the previous version of Robohelp 5.0 or 6.0. Again, I have 3.0 and again the web site says ANY version to upgrade. I called Adobe and to make a 1 hour 35 min conversation short, I talked with customer service and tech support and they aggreed that the robohelp web site for upgrading was wrong that only version 5 and above was applicable and said they would refund my money. I asked to speak to a manager and after being on hold for 20 mins adobe dropped the call. I do not understand how or why a company as big as Adobe needs to do a bait and switch tactic? Clearly I admit to being angry.

That's OK.

For anyone else coming across this thread, any version DOES qualify for upgrade pricing. If however the version is earlier than X5, you will need to get a special serial number from TechSupport. Don't be told otherwise.
