Hi,

You are probably using Windows Vista/7 with UAC enabled. The script tries to save the project to you install directory, but UAC is preventing that. This doesn't create an error, but when the script tries to open the newly created template, the template is missing and you receive an error.

Try disabling UAC and running the script again.

Willam

RoboHelp 8/9 comes with a script to do this for you. Just run the script SaveAsProjectTemplate and the script saves the current project as a template.

I have tried that but i always get this error:

RH Script warning.png

I enter a name for the help template and a description but this error always loads

Line 49 of the script in bold:

RoboHelp.closeProject();
   RoboHelp.openProject(tarPath.concat("\\", projName), false);
   RoboHelp.project.rename("Template.xpj");
   RoboHelp.closeProject();
   RoboHelp.openProject(srcPath.concat("\\", projName));

Thanks Willam,

I created a template in my documents then copied to the RH template directory. Rather do that than turn off uac which in Win 7 is not so inconveneient.

All fine and dandy now.
