Users who search are occassionally experiencing a problem with it freezing for several minutes, never producing the results of the search. A specific example that caused this problem was a search for a string of words. Can you tell me what might causing this problem?

What type of output are we talking about here. If it is Webhelp are all users having the same issue or just some. If just some, are they all located in the same place? Basically you need to try and find a pattern to what is happening and go from there. Let us know what you find out.

It is the Search function in Online Help for the Customer Service staff.
This is located at http://help.weatrust.com/mergedprojects/cs/index.htm.
It is happening for multiple users, both in Customer Service and for us
(BPAS in PMO). I deselected a setting in RoboHelp called "substring
search" and republished. This has corrected the problem for the BPAS, but
still seems to lock up the computer for Customer Service staff. However,
if they use quotes around the words "trust in your health" it does not
lock up.

There seems to be an issue when selecting Substring Search and affects all users. Without it, they are not able to search using partial words. With it, they can search on partial words, but it causes this problem of locking up in some situations (depends on the string of words entered). Is there a solution or is this a defect in RoboHelp's search functionality?
