Search Input bar text - change font?

I've been using the Skinny on Skins (aka the bible) to customize a skin, but found something I want to change that isn't listed.

I changed the font of the main toolbar to be bold, but that includes the "- Search -" in the search input toolbar. I found instructions to change what the text is, but I'd like to change its appearance, e.g. to grey italics, so it's not as dominant.

Is this possible?
