Search keyword highlight doesn't change with new search on the current page

There's an issue with search highlight that the team has encountered. The scenario is as follows:

1. Do a search with a keyword, press on any of the search results pages name.

2. Enter a new search keyword, and press Enter.

Current behavior: The new search applies on the side navigation only [search results], and doesn't apply on the page/topic I currently open.

Expected result: The search highlight changes dynamically on the the current topic displayed highlighting the new search keyword.

Please do you have any suggestions for how to fix that?

You haven't said which version of RoboHelp but I would guess it's the same in all and as designed. When you click the item in the results it does change as you acknowledge. Until then it is just a list of results and RoboHelp doesn't know what the user is going to select. The displayed topic might not have the new search term.

I guess it could be configured so that the displayed topic shows highlighting if applicable or nothing if not, in other words there is a refresh on pressing Enter.

It's Robohelp 2019 latest version. Yes, what we need that the current topic at least removes the highlight of the previous search word with a new search, and highlight the new search word if it's included in the current page; i.e refresh highlight on the current topic with new search. This isn't available now; right?

You would need to check all the skins to be sure but I doubt any work that way, hence suggesting you submit a feature request.

Hello Peter,

It seems it's a known issue as the new Frameless output in update 8 has "Remove highlight" button
