Setting the default tab of a CHM - Robohelp 8

Hello everyone,

This is a very simple thing, but I'm looked all over and can't figure out how to do it, I apologize if I missed it somewhere.

The CHM I've created defaults to displaying the "Index" tab on the left when opened, I need to to default to the "Contents" tab.  I couldn't find any setting for it in the Generation options, and a google search turned up nothing.

It's a rather nitpick-y request, but it's been irritating me for the better part of the afternoon.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there

You are able to configure the default tab in the Window properties.

However, the nature of CHM files is that even if you declare the Index as the default, if the user has the TOC open and closes the CHM, it will not respect the fact the Index is the default. The behavior will be to display whatever tab was opened last.

Your developer can code the call that opens the CHM so that whatever tab they like is opened up. But this all happens in the developer's code that opens the help.
