Slow PDF Generation

Explorer ,
Mar 25, 2008 Mar 25, 2008
When I generate a PDF for Printed Documentation it takes hours to complete. I am running Office 2003 SP2, RH 7, XP SP2 and Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.

I am not looking to reinstall my RH. If this is not normal I would rather find the cause.

I am wondering if it is normal for a 100 page project to take hours to generate a PDF? I could use more memory I know. The processor is a XEON.

Being Acrobat Professional 8 and RH are Adobe products that could not be the problem.

Try generating to Word and then to PDF.

Also watch for a warning that the PDF may take a long time. If you get that, try the option that avoids the problem.
