Has anyone used StarTeam as a source control solution with RH7?  Successfully?  In a multi-writer situation?

I'm on a team of 1 plus 1 remote.  We do NOT work off of a network location.  We have had some success using StarTeam as our source control for Adobe books, but are having some dificulty using it with RoboHelp.

Using RoboHelp with any source control product requires that you do not add the .cpd, .hhp, .ldb, and .pss files to source control. They are user/machine-specific files that only cause problems if added.

As to StarTeam, have you searched the forum on that string? It might have come up once or twice, but you won't likely find anyone on the forum with any experience with it. Check the RH help for any restrictions on what types of source control product are supported (that is, certain Microsoft protocols, I think).

Good luck,

Leon

Thanks for the tip -- I checked the forums but didn't really find exactly what I was looking for...  It looked like a long-shot, hoping someone might have really great insight, but I thought it might be worth a try.  🙂  I'll dig around in the help to see what I can find.  I haven't found much on the Adobe sites or Google.  Considering my day job, you'd think I'd go to the help first.
