SWF file not appearing in generated CHM

I am working with RoboHelp 6 and want to add a SWF file that was created in Camtasia.

I tried adding the SWF file, controller.SWF file, config.xml file and the associated HTML file to the baggage files.

I linked from a separate HTML topic to the HTML file that was created with the SWF file. When I generate the one topic, it looks fine. When I generate the whole project, the SWF file does not run.

I tried importing the SWF as well and that didn't work either.

If I link to the SWF file, it runs, but without the toolbar on the bottom (no stop button, no rewind/forward buttons, etc).

(I also have the files as an .exe file and I am able to link to that, but I don't like that the user has to Run the .exe file.)

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thank you,
Debbie

Hi, Debbie,

I think Camtasia Flash falls into the category of file types that do not work when compiled into an HTML Help file. Do you have the option to leave the SWF files outside the help file and use JavaScript to make dynamic links to them? See the following article for more information and examples:

Hi Pete,

Thanks. I will try it and let you know if it works.
