Table Shading Does Not Print

New Here ,
May 01, 2007 May 01, 2007
We use shading for our table headings in RH HTML (.chm output). They look great in the output, but if you print a topic while viewing the .chm, the table shading doesn't print. The borders print great.

Is there some setting that makes shading print, or is this just a limitation of .chm output?

Thanks
Jodie

Hi all

In addition to what Colum offered up, you may also wish to check your browser settings. Particularly with Internet Explorer. Click Tools > Internet Options... > Advanced tab and scroll until you see the Printing area. Once there, you should find an option for "Printing Background Colors and Images".

Further note that this would be an individual browser setting. It's not something you may control overall via your help file.

Cheers... Rick

Hi Jodie. This is not a problem I have with my users. Can you try printing to another printer as I'm suspecting it is a printer (possibly driver) issue. I assume you've checked the printer isn't about to run out of tonor / ink Does the same occur if you print when viewing the topic in preview mode?
