TCS 2.0 - XREFS go to wrong page in RH

New Here ,

TCS 2.0

- RH 8.0.2.208

Most XREFS in the WebHelp go to 1 section only. We perform the following steps.

  • Check in FM if the XREFS are OK and they are.
  • Check in the PDF if the XREFS are OK and they are.
  • Create the RH project and create WebHelp.
  • Check the result line-by-line, click the links on the pages, and the following happens:
    • link 1 (About X) goes to section 5 (About Y) instead of to section 1 (About X)
    • link 2 (Editing X) goes to section 5 (Editing Y) instead of to section 1 (Editing Y)
    • link 18 (About Z) goes to section 5 (About Y) instead of to section 3 (About Z)
    • link 19 (Editing P) goes to section 5 (Editing Y) instead of to section 3 (Editing P)
    • etc.

The "funny" thing is that it happens in 1 book only so far and not in 9 others.

Hope someone can help here.

Thanks

Gideon

Update/Solution:

Found the solution! It seemed that some writers changed a heading, added text, and other heading, but did not delete the old XREF.

  • I deleted the XREF marker in front of the heading in FM
  • I created a new XREF in FM
  • I re-created the online help and....... It works!

It is strange that I could nowhere see the incorrect XREF information...... (enhancement?)
