Hi
I am trying to merge together flash help outputs.
In each of the child help projects, i have set the default topics, and the associated book in the TOC expands appropriately to display the default topic.
However when i merge these child projects with the parent, the TOC does not expand even though the correct default topic content is displayed on the right hand side.
I hope i have been able to explain the problem clear enough. Has anyone faced this issue?
Thankyou
SK

Is the default topic for the whole merge in book? If not, nothing expands, that is normal.
There is some information about this in my merged webhelp tutorials that will apply to FlashHelp as well.

Really appreciate your quick reply Peter.
Basically i have followed the instructions on webhelp merging from your website.
As suggested, i have a blank page in my parent help project which is redirected to a topic in the child project. This child project will actually include the content which i wanted in my parent help project (to facilitate linking to other child projects).
The child project also has a default page set in the single-source layout wizard, which is the same as the topic which i redirected to from the parent.
So what i am assuming is when the parent help is redirected to the child project, the child's default page content should be displayed and the TOC should expand accordingly. And yes this topic is inside a book in the child project. Is that the way it should work?

I don't work with FlashHelp but in theory it should work the same way. Download my small demo and create FlashHelp from that small merge to see if it makes any difference.

Not sure if the files are the same but maybe a similar edit will fix it.
Post back if no joy.
