TOC format

When I auto generate a table of contents I get things like "XREF_82556_2_Before_You" and I want to just see the text of the Heading. How do I get TOCs to generate without the XREF numbers?

Hi Rick.

Am I right in thinking that your topics were created by importing a Word file? If so, do your topics also have these XREF titles? When your Word file was imported, did you have field codes displayed.

Or is it when generating a Word output? In which case Colum has given you the clue, turn off displaying field codes.

My documents are in Frame.

The fix for this problem is to set File>Project Settings>Import>CSS for Style Mapping>Link Option>Create a Copy and Link

However, when I Tools>Auto-create TOC I get TOC references and IX references in the TOC file.
