Is anyone else using the most recent version of Robohelp 2020 having any issues publishing and connecting to SharePoint? Last week, our ability to publish stopped working. We cannot access the exeuted files on SharePoint either. The strange part is that we have a test area on SharePoint that does still open and is functional. There is some connection between Adobe and Microsoft that seems to be broken, and we cannot figure out how to fix the issue.
Any guideance would be helpful.

Not that I have seen recently. In 2022.4 a lot of changes were made to improve Sharepoint publishing. Whether or not they will help if you upgrade is another matter.
Perhaps try Adobe Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

Did you do any update to RH2020? I think Patch 14 was the last one for that product & I suspect you were already on it by now, so my suspicion is that something changed at the SP end of things. Not a lot of SP users here, so you may want to ping the RH folks - see https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. I'd recommend using the tcssup@adobe.com e-mail address as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

@ShelleyIsbell - what version of RH are you using?

Hi. 2022.4.1779

And was it working before the upgrade to Patch 4?

Yes. Now the publishing takes a very long time, and it does not open the execute files, or any file it only downloads a script file.

Few things I could suggest - generate locally & test to see if the index file works ok; if so, then transfer all the output files to SP and test there. Could also revert back to Patch 3 if you want to test that conjecture - others have reported the SP site acting strange (wanting to download everthing rather than open them in the browser) but those reports were unconnected to Patch 4 - they were probably a setting on the SP server that threw things off).

I have found the cause for RoboHelp not publishing correctly to Microsoft SharePoint. Please review this Microsoft Article (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/allow-or-prevent-custom-script#change-custom-script-set...)

My IT can run the temp script, which allows publishing to work appropriately but resets in 24 hours.

Then I think you need to use the persist command that they mention in there to fix your site so that it can run .aspx files created by RH.

This is a user to user forum, not part of Adobe itself. The article does not mention RoboHelp so which part are you saying is the cause.

The cause is that Microsoft Sharepoint no longer accepts custom scripts.

@ShelleyIsbell Thanks for explaining. If Sharepoint is no longer accepting custom scripts, I would have expected that Update 4 would have taken that into account As you are on Update 4, clearly it is not helping you.
Have you tried Adobe Support? See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

Did your IT try this suggested solution? - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/allow-or-prevent-custom-script#persist-custom-script-se...

Yes, my IT tried that, but it resets after 24hrs.
In addition, "This parameter will be available until November 2024. After that date, it will no longer be possible to prevent SharePoint from resetting custom script settings to their original value for all sites."
This is not just one site. It is across our SharePoint network.
Microsoft said this... https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/2017820/solution-for-custom-script?page=1#answer...

So that sounds like you have to post your RH SP output to this "SP Framework" thing instead. Doesn't sound like RH has any way out of this SP security clampdown, but you should let them [the RH folks] know.

Be careful going back to 3. It will corrupt the variables in the project. Also Update 4 was supposed to correct a number of Sharepoint issues. I suggest you follow the link @Jeff_Coatsworth has given you.
