I am creating a new topic.  Why do I get an "Unspecified Error" message?

Thank you.

Hi there

Ummm, because RoboHelp is just generically having a bad hair day?

What are you doing at the moment the message appears? Where is your project? (Local C drive or a network drive letter such as E or F or I)

Cheers... Rick

My project is on my C drive.

I hit control T to create an new project, name the topic, and then hit OK and I get the error. Interestingly enough, when I open a different project, also on my c drive, I am able to create a topic there.

What happens if you don’t use the keyboard shortcuts to create the topic? Do you still get the error? Do you have rights to the location where you are creating the new project?

Thank you, Everyone, for your help.

I discovered that the .htt file was missing from the project folder. All is good again.

Thanks for posting to advise what the issue was. That should hopefully help others down the road.

Were you able to figure out why the HTT file was missing? Did you report the issue to Adobe as a bug so they might fashion a more informative message that will give someone a clue where to look?

If not, I strongly encourage you to do so.

Cheers... Rick
