Upgrade Robohelp x5 to 7

Guest

The dlls we use for RoboHelp X5 are a higher version than the same dlls we would use in RoboHelp 7 upgrade. Because RoboHelp X5 dlls version is higher our installer will not lay down the new dlls for RoboHelp 7.

Any suggestions?

Can you please try again?

RH7 can be installed alongside X5 if you have a full RH7 licence rather than an upgrade. "Our" installer will not "lay down" the DLLs.

Sorry but the problem is so unclear, I cannot help at the moment.

The 5X versions are as follows:
1) bsuuWin32FileServices.dll
a. Version 13.0.584.0
2) bsuuProjectRepositoryServices.dll
a. Version 13.0.584.0

The 7 versions are as follows:
1) bsuuWin32FileServices.dll
a. Version 7.0.145.0
2) bsuuProjectRepositoryServices.dll
a. Version 7.0.145.0

The installer looks for the latest version #, since RoboHelp 5X version # is higher the installer will not install the files for the upgrade.

Nobody else has had any such issue so I think you will have to take this up with Adobe Support.

I just noticed the way you refer to "our installer". Are you using some proprietary installation software? If you are, I think you need to take this up with them. As I indicated, this has not been an issue for anyone else.
