RH2022 Update 5 on Mac. Frameless Output
Has anyone encountered an issue with existing frameless TOCs obmitting topics and whole sections randomly after upgrading to Update 5?
After upgrading from RH2022 update 1, I noticed that generating the frameless output (same one we have used for the last 4+ years with RH2020 and then RH2022) leaves out large sections of the TOC.
I have double-checked for any conditional tags or comment outs - none. I have tried rebuilding the entire TOC from scratch and I still hit the issue (one build, part of it appears....click build again, and its gone).
In reviewing the DIFF when the project file was updated for update 5, i see only the presets for the project file were updated so i tried a preset for scratch - same issue.
The build log the frameless is not giving me any errors. Reviewing the source for the TOCs did not reveal anything out of order. Its just skipping whole sections with no rhyme or reason that i can see.
I finally reverted back to the previous RH2022 version i was on and was able to successfully build the frameless output, even with the project being updated for version 5 and it giving me a warning (using a project file upgraded for update 5 on a older RH2022 version).

I'm not a mac user so cannot help, it's the same for most of the regular supporters here. I haven't seen other reports of this from anyone, mac or windows.
I suggest for this one you need to go to Adobe Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.
Sorry.

will do. luckily, we use git so i was able to downgrade the RH instance and manually back out the project files that were modified upon upgrade to 5.

I would wonder if the sample project acted up in the same way - if it did, then there must be something going on in the patch 5 build; if not, then it's something in the project that's causing it to go sideways.

sample project did it too but it was not apparent at first. I needed to load it up with a lot of topics and other tocs to make it similar to our project...then it starting obmitting things too. I am leaning towards loading TOC sections up with a lot of topics and subsections as it always seem to obmit those larger parts of the TOC...I even tried to rebuilding those bit by bit....it would generate fine until it reached a certain size (number of topics) then it was gone from the output

Then definitely take it up with the RH folks like Peter suggested.
