Webhelp Pro - RoboHelp HTML 8

New Here ,
Apr 01, 2010 Apr 01, 2010

Hi,

I have very recently started to use RoboHelp HTML 8 and also have Server 8. I am currently creating some test projects so I am able to provide a feel for what the tool can do etc. I have managed to publish a project to the server, however I would like to have Webhelp Pro as my Primary layout, when I do this I lose my contents page but the content can be found through a search.

Please could someone advise why my contents page will not appear when I publish to Webhelp Pro as opposed to normal Webhelp?

Thank you.

I've not heard of this before. Can you be a little clearer from where the TOC disappears from? Perhaps post a image?

The TOC does not appear in the generated or published output. When I generate using Webhelp the TOC is fine and appears on the left hand side, however when i do the same using pro it does not.

Do you have any special characters in the file names you are publishing to the server. Check this link out for details of the "naughty" characters. Look about a third of the way down for a post by "tgarg".

Hi,

I have checked all of my file names and do not seem to have any of the characters mentioned. The project publishes fine in Webhelp but is still missing the contents page in Pro.

How are you lanching the help? From the Server Web Administrator, from an application?

Hi,

I have been trying various things and this now seems to be fine and the contents are showing when I publish the project using Pro.

Thank you for your help with this!

Hello Dan

Is your Webhelp Pro output file outside of your Robohelp source code?
