Where to buy RoboHelp VIP license?

Hi, 

 I need help to buy Robohelp VIP license (Subscription license) in China.

There is distributer list on Adobe web site. However, I can not find the right distributer even though I have contacted to more than 10 distributers located near shanghi city on the list.

Probably the list may be for Adobe Illustrator some other software products which are non RoboHelp software.

I asked about how many writers there will be as sometimes people think they require a licence for people in their organisation who will be using the output. Licences are only required for writers. Cost out the licence you have asked for against individual licences.

According to my colleague in China, Adobe China can not sell Robohelp VIP license against China role. So Adobe China recommends to buy RoboHelp license through the distributor in China. However, we can not find the right distributor in China. I appreciate if you tell me the contact who can advise me. Thanks.

If Adobe as a global company will not sell to China, it would seem to make no sense for Adobe China to give the advice they have. A block is a block and the local office can't go against that.

Let me take this up with an Adobe contact and see what the official line is.

You do not need the VIP licence, it's not a better product but one that allows many users and you need quite a few to justify the cost.

Have you tried buying the single licence you need? From what you have posted, that may be blocked as well but I don't know.

Hi Peter, Thank you for your kindly reply. I am looking forward to receving the right contact of Adobe  through you.

From our experience, my China colleague could not buy Adobe Robohelp single license either when he logined to internet from China area on Adobe online store. I am not sure, but it might block by China great wall or something.

And also, my understanding is RoboHelp single license can not change the register person information even though our company organization is changed. So, I prefer to use VIP license which is designed for the company usage.

I am continuously pushing Adobe Japan to find the way to buy RoboHelp license in China. Because I live in Japan and I believe Adobe is Global company.

The question has been referred to the right people but the weekend has intervened. Adobe or I will get back to you.

From what you say it does sound like China is blocked either by Adobe or China itself. If that is the case, then the type of licence will be academic.

Otherwise I don't think you are appreciating the cost of a VIP licence. My understanding is it is many times more. With a single licence, if the one writer leaves then their subscription would be cancelled and a new one taken out, that assumes that Adobe cannot continue the subscription and change the user name.

Let's see what Adobe come back with on availability.

Just to add, I know of many organisations that use multiple single user licences rather than a VIP/Enterprise licence precisely because of cost.

Yes, I totally agree with you. The cost is important factor.

It would be best if we can use single license of RoboHelp in China.

The important is that we need to use RoboHelp in China.

So, I don't mind VIP license or single license at this moment.

The cost is next step for us.

I have established that you cannot install from Adobe direct, that has been confirmed. An Adobe staff member is now liaising with a Partner in China. I will let you know what comes back.

You will then be contacted requesting certain information so that they can get a quote for you. Do be clear as to the version you need. From all I have seen, a single licence is all you need.
