Users are reporting that when they install my .air file, their system's anti-virus software reports one of the .xml files in the \whxdata folder as infected, and will not install the help.
I've noticed that there is a big difference in the number of .xml files in the \whxdata folder between the WebHelp and AIR versions of my project. This problem seems to have occurred when I upgraded my system from Robohelp7 to Robohelp8. Previously I used Robohelp7 with the AIR Packager to generate the .air file. Now, I generate it directly as an output format from Robohelp8.
Anyone have any clues to why this is occurring and how to remedy it?
I suppose they could turn off their virus checker when they install.....

I have not seen any reports of this problem. I assume you have run a check on what you have sent out.
Look into whether the reports are coming from all users or just those who had the RH7 output or any characteristics if only some users are reporting this.
I can't think of anything else right now.

No one had any problems with the RH7 output.
2 out of hundreds of users now have a problem with the RH8 AIR output. They are reporting that one .xml file in the \whxdata folder is reporting as a trojan virus with their virus checker. My files check out OK here.
Yes. A real mystery. The one work around is to turn the virus checker off, install AIR, then turn the checker back on.

I wonder if they are using a less popular virus checker? Might be worth asking and looking at the support for that software. I seem to recall a similar sort of problem with some other application that one virus checker burped on whereas all others were OK.
