{XE.....} is appearing in printed doc. Why now?

I use RoboHelp v. 7 to generate a printed document. I understand that by using the Show/Hide icon in Word that this {XE"SalesPrice"\*MERGEFORMAT} verbiage will be shown or be hidden. However, today, it appears in the Preview window, and more importantly, in my PDF, whether I Show or Hide-it doesn't matter which i use. This just started happening today. I opened another Word document that I created in Robohelp before today, and it, too, is showing the {XS"....."*| MERGEFORMET] verbiage. How can I fix this? Thank you.

I think by going into Word options and turn off Show Field Codes.

Thank you! That did the trick. Instead of using the Show/Hide button, I used the Tools > Options menu to access the "Hidden Text" box.
