Hi, Everyone.
I'm working in RH 2019 (new UI). Can you think of a way to require each end user to choose a Dynamic Content Filter when they first open my RH handbook?
Some way to create a "gate," right when the handbook is opened, requiring the user to choose "Contractor" vs. "Employee" (see screenshot) before they can access the handbook's content?
Thank you, appreciate hearing any ideas you might have.
What about a hint placed on the starting page, containing an arrow pointing to the right where the DCF usually shows up?
This would work fine with the "Frameless" skins, especially when setting the default topic to the one which contains the hint.

If you have friendly developers they might be able to invent some javascript that makes an overlay that the user must select from before they can continue. Then based on that selection the DCF is correctly set. There'd also need to be something that made sure the overlay only appeared once, not every time a page loaded.
Don't ask me how to do it though, I just theorise. 😛

Yes you can only set DCF to open with no filters or one set by the call to the help. Amber's suggestion is the only way to get what you want.

Ah! Very good alternative to what I had in mind. Thank you, GBR. I'll probably use this concept.
And thank you Amber and Peter for the javascript info. If I can find someone in our IT department with those skills, I'll ask if they can help me.
