Hi, Everyone.
In RH 2019 (new UI), is it possible to specify the behavior of hyperlinks? What I would prefer is the hyperlink to open in a new tab.
Currently, hyperlinks open in the same tab. And I have to use the back button to return to my help document. This dynamic has two drawbacks:
Thank you!

Isn't that influenced by the target="_blank" setting in the HTML? Or is just by browser preference?

Select the link. You may have to use the breadcrumbs at the top of the tab, depending on your formatting. In the Properties panel under Display in > Frame, select New Window. In most cases that will open in a new tab, unless users have changed a browser setting (which most won't).

Hi, Amber and Jeff, thanks for your replies.
Amber, I don't quite follow. I don't see "Display in" in the Properties panel. I do see "Display" under "Layout" (screenshot). But that doesn't seem like what you mean.
Where in the Properties panel should I be looking?

Huh. I didn't know you could double-click the link. 🙂
@martinl83372021 the way I got the panel to display was selecting the link. However, just putting the cursor inside the text, or selecting the text won't always show the correct panel, depending on what inline formatting might be applied. So I use the breadcrumbs bar at the top of the topic interface, just underneath the tabs.
For example, here when I click in the link, only the properties for the span tag display. To select the link I would click on the "a" in the breadcrumbs at the top of the topic. (These breadcrumbs are describing the underlying html stucture.)

Excellent, Peter and Amber.
And Amber, thanks for walking me through using the bread crumbs, and what they represent. Good to know!
I'm all set, now. Thank you!
