Hi,

We have developed a responsive help with Robohelp 17 HTML 5. Now, we want to know if we can track anyway how the content is being consumed by users? Say, can we add a Like button, for instance, which indicates the content is found useful by the users? Or how many users are coming to the page and liking the content on the page? If we can add a feature such as a Like button or anything else that helps in tracking, can you please mention the steps to include the same in a responsive help created in Robohelp 17 HTML5?

It would be helpful if anybody can provide answer to this.

That sounds as if you need to be looking at RoboHelp Server.

Adobe RoboHelp Server 10 - For your online help systems

Google Analytics or similar would enable you to track visitors but not give you the other requirements.

Thank you for your response.

Is there any possibility of integrating any code in Robohelp 17 HTML 5 output or source files to allow the user to like a page? If not then I believe, we have to suggest Google Analytics to the client. Nonetheless, wanted to be sure that if adding a code is a possibility at all in this scenario. If yes, kindly share the code.

If the output is hosted on a webserver, then the webhost would probably be able to give you some statistics but they would be much more limited than Google or any other stats site. They would be quite basic such as how many times a page has been accessed. They work without injecting code as the host knows the page has been accessed.

Google and other sites need a script injected and from that they can give you better reporting. Geographical location of the user, new or previous user, browser used and so on. What they still will not give you is likes. You'll know someone visited a page but not whether they liked it.
