This message appeared today after compiling a project as Microsoft HTML on one of my RoboHelp projects
. I compile daily as a chm file and move it to a network drive for our work from home employees.I've tried everything I know to do. I compiled another project that I use for testing. I can view that project with no errors.
I deleted the .cmd file and recompiled.
Any suggestions? Do I dare generate as WebHelp (primary layout and critical for call center support)?
- I can view all previous versions of chm projects on the drive.
- Ran RegSvr 32
- Only on project is affected.
- Project is located on local drive. I copy to shared drive after compiling.
Running Windows XP Professional
- Robohelp 8
Thanks,
Holly

Perhaps try creating a new layout as per this thread:
Fatal Error Compiling CHM File in RoboHelp 7

Make sure you do New Layout, not Duplicate Layout as that would copy to corruption.

Replying to my own message. Generated Webhelp to a new folder without any problem. Tested other projects again as HTML help. All can be viewed without error. Still can't view the one that gives error message. It has to be something corrupted or missing in the project.

Thank you, Amebr! It worked. I don't know why or how, but it worked!
