RH2019 Frameless: Doesn’t Robohelp2019 support editing the .CSS file?

Hi

I have modified a few properties in the .CSS file of my project by directly editing the .CSS file. Upon generating a Frameless output the online help displays the page as per the changes made.

But I have noticed that if I make any further changes to the .CSS file either from the UI or directly on the .CSS file, the changes made earlier seems to be removed from the .CSS file. It looks like Robohelp2019 does not save the changes made directly to the .CSS file.

For example, I added a box-shadow property to the inner search box in the Home Page by editing the .CSS file (not from the UI) and the output display as per the change made. If I make any other change to the .CSS file and generate an output, the box-shadow is not displayed. The .CSS file reverts to the previous state without the box-shadow property.

This issue occurs only if I make modifications directly to the .CSS file. Any changes made from the UI are saved and works as expected.

I did a search and the Oceanic skin does have a css file but the OP advised it gets overwritten. I believe the Adobe preferred method is to use a custom css in the User Assets (at least, I haven't spotted an announcement that it's changed).

Does this only occur with edits to the skin css or if you do the same with a topic css? I have been editing topic css both using RoboHelp's own editor and an external editor with no trouble.

What css file are you editing? There's no text-editable css file for the skin in RH2109 New UI, so the only thing I can think is you're editing in the css file in the output, which will be overwritten when you generate.

Hi Peter and Amebr

The topic css works as expected. In my project to edit the skin, I have layoutdiff.css file. I edited the layoutdiff.css to include a box-shadow. I use Notepad++ to edit the CSS file.
