RoboHelp 2017 Won't Generate WebHelp Anymore.

RoboHelp 2017 freezes and stops working. The popup says "Generating content 'Content'... and freezes. If it helps, the "Output view" says "Processing Full-text search data..." and then that's when the popup appears.

Another popup appears and says "Adobe RoboHelp 2017 has stopped working" and then I have to close the program.

Any ideas as to why this could be happening? It does this with old projects and brand new.

No, I upgraded to Robohelp 2020.

  1. Is your project on a local drive?
  2. Are you generating to the same drive?
  3. Do you have updates applied?
  4. In the new projects, are you leaving the output settings pretty much to defaults? No custom skins etc.
  5. Do you get the same with the sample projects?

 

If the answer to all the above is yes, I would try uninstalling and reinstalling. It's quick and will not affect your projects.
