We are using snippets for multiple uses in several topic pages - that means: one snippet is used in one or more topic pages.
Now we have the following use case:
the users of the help file want to know in which topic pages the snippet will be used. So, is it possible to make a topic page for the snippet with an overview of all topic pages where the snippet is used in? Within the properties of a snippet you have the tab "used in" - is it possible to provide this information within a topic page?
Thanks!

Go to Tools > Topic Properties > Snippets. You could save the report as a .RTF file and then link to that file and display it in the TOC.
It's interesting to me that the users want to know where a snippet is being used. Why would they care?
Hope this information helps you.

Hi there
If indeed it is your end users that want to know all topics where the Snippet appears, I have a fairly simple way to achieve it.
Basically you create a See Also keyword that represents the Snippet. Then in any topic where the snippet appears, you insert a See Also control and point it to the keyword. You then add the topic to the list in the See Also pod for that keyword.
From there forward it self-updates. I suppose you could even make part of the snippet itself contain the link. That would even make it better. It could even be hidden.

That sounds fascinating and totally beyond what I would have ever thought of doing! Here's a vote for a quick video demo!

Okay, I'll bite.
See if this video linked below helps. Not polished and is crude and rough, but should explain it.

is it possible to edit the report for the snippets, maybe the sorting.

Hi there
Not much control from RoboHelp for the report. But note that you do have a "Save As" option that allows you to save as a file. You could save the report and use another tool to manipulate the file.
