We are currently using Robohelp 10 integrated with TFS 2012. Our window/dialog level help topics match the name of the window and this is how the help at that level is called. We would like to switch to Map IDs instead. Has anyone else made this switch and is it better for the programmers to feed me the IDs or for me to generate it in Robohelp and give it to them?
I generated the window IDs and then manually mapped them in RoboHelp. It was much less time-consuming for everyone, particularly the developers. I used CHAMP (Context-sensitive Help Assistant and MAP Program) to generate the map IDs from Dexterity. http://dynamicbusinesssolutions.ru/gp2010_ig.en/ig_ch39onlinehelp517.htm
But I don't know if that tool would work for you or if your developers would have some way to generate the Map IDs. Regardless, I'm sure they'd rather give you the IDs than have
