4K Video

Community Beginner ,

I have noticed some strange issues with 4K video submissions...

They have been accepted and appear on the site, however,

1. They do not seem to be offered to the customer at full resolution like in the past, HD only.
2. Some appear to the shortened in length, although they display the correct duration in the player.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Could you add a link to an example video on the site? Please add also any info about the video you uploaded, like the resolution, the length, the speed and the CODEC. any of those information may influence the posttreatment by Adobe. If you have submitted prior to this different other videos, the link to one of those, with the same type of additional information would be helpful.

I only know, that lately one customer complained that one video was not at the correct length (with black video at the end).

Thank you for your reply!

I upload broadcast standard 4K Quicktime PRORES videos . Usually the customer is offered the 4K prores file with high bitrate, large file size and also an HD option which is lower bitrate, lower resolution and smaller file size.

It's always been the same for years, I just find it strange that the 4K option hasn't been made available to the customer this time.

I'll keep an eye out and see if it ends up being an ongoing thing.

You did not answer all my questions, so I can only confirm, that this is still the case and that the videos still work as you have described.

I think I have discovered the problem.... If the video is cropped in width, they do not appear to offer the full res version, just HD.

If you look at this video for example, the contributor has supplied 4K resolution prores4444 in square format as mentioned in their title

https://stock.adobe.com/uk/video/whimsical-donut-claw-machine-animation-isolated-asset-transparent-4...

Only the low bitrate, H264 HD version is offered, not the full resolution prores version. There seems to be lots of examples of this

You still did not answer my questions completly. I'm not interested in what someone posted, because you do not have the source file, so you cannot check any of those assumptions. There are many examples of misleading titles.

Thank you for your reply, but don't worry I have worked out the issue.

If you search for "4K" in videos but filter for "square" orientation, you will see 100 pages showing 1000 videos all of which are HD only. It's possible these were all titled/keyworded incorrectly but very unlikely. It doesn't look like adobe stock supports higher resolutions than HD for square videos. I'm happy to be proven wrong though!

Adobe Stock does not automatically reduce 4K videos to HD. Instead, all 4K videos are also available in HD resolution as an option for customers, meaning you can choose to license either the 4K or HD version of the same clip. This flexibility ensures contributors can upload 4K content without it being downscaled unless specifically requested by the customer. When customers license a 4K video, they receive the full 4K resolution, but they can opt for HD if their project For contributors, this means your 4K videos remain in their feed.  If you’re concerned about how your videos are presented or licensed:  https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/video-requirements.html)[](https://helpx.adobe.com/in...)

@ZALEZPHOTO ,

You need to read the OP's initial post! You are giving correct (as long as I close both eyes on your first sentence) information, but your information does not address the OP's issue.

Question one or one question?

The point is that your answer is useless to the OP.
