If you look at the histogram you will see that the photo is underexposed. There are also a few white highlighted areas on the red leaf that need repairing. The photo needs sharpening and noise reduction. Also, there are a few red leaf portions on the sides that should be removed.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I was expecting there to be another problem, which I didn't see after taking a closer look at the photo.
I've been taking photos for a while, but the photo is actually quite old, and I'm new to stock photography; it's different than just capturing a beautiful moment.

I doubt that the picture is underexposed, even that there is some clipping in the blacks.
And yes, the editing could be better, but the main cause for the refusal would be, IMHO, the high noise level of the background.
@Franzi_Frey: I would still correct some aspects of the picture:
