The nut is overexposed and a bit softly focused since it appears that the DOF was very shallow and focus fell on the fingertips rather than the nut.

I would also think about the background. I don't think red is a good colour for this!

I like your composition. The red has highlighted the subject well. You will need to redo this and this time pay attention to your exposure and focus as said by @Jill_C .
