It's Adobe's way of keeping track of your rejection percentage. Those thumbnails also help serve as a reminder to you what assets have been rejected so that you can consider correcting errors and resubmitting assets.

...and to complement that: the thumbnails are only low resolution square crops of our assets, usefull for nothing else than to remind us of our failures. I sometimes love looking back to see why something did not get accepted.

There's nothing to delete. The thumbnail previews are a record of what you submitted for your reference only. Nobody else can see them.
