How long does it normally take for nominated assets to be approved for the free collection? Is this done manually?

My assets are still in review. You do need to select which assets you want to be considered for the free collection, but you do not approve them manually yourself. I suspect assets will be reviewed before the month is out.

We don't know whether selection is a manual process. The announcement of final selections occurred last year on November 22nd, so I suppose you'll have to wait a bit longer.

A: As long as it needs to be.

Be patient. Contributors will be notified when/if any of their assets are accepted into the Free Collection. You should see something in your portal by early December.
