Could you please provide the reason for the quality-related rejection of these images?
Did Adobe tell you "Quality issues"? Quality issues may be a lot of topics. One is exposure. But I guess there are multiple ones. From what I see, I would also claim the composition.

This is what you're competing with in Adobe Stock.

Bright, cheerful Macron colors. No harsh light or shadows.
The exposure is correct. Sharpness is not at its best, but not really off. There is noise in the shadows.
And the composition is not good.
The hard shadow of the plate is not professional. Indeed, this is more a snapshot than a professional picture.
I would probably still refuse the asset, but you may try submitting again.

Adobe did provide you with a reason. It was probably quality issues. The posted asset is not what you have submitted, so mostly, we can only guess. But the asset is underexposed:

No, not really! You get that by contrast, like a candle with a candlelight diner. Not by pouring hard light on your subject and choosing a bad composition.

You have to think carefully about the composition - the example given shows better composition than your example.
It's a good idea to look at what Adobe Stock has to offer and then compare it with yours before submitting. In this way, you can get some ideas of what to look for.

I agree with the composition of this photo. However, I can't find any logic in the fact that some photos are accepted much worse than this one, and other better ones are discarded.

Aristotle himself would not be able to find the reasoning behind why bad assets get accepted over better ones.

the presence of philosophy and probability theory in the selection of photos is not very reassuring 😄

There is no proof that the picture has been refused because of the composition. It's just an additional aspect into the issues with this picture.

Good for you. I would still have refused the picture, because of the composition and the shadows, as @Ricky336 pointed out. I wish you many sales for this picture, but I fear that the applications will be highly limited.

At this stage, for me, the acceptance of the work is already an achievement. Thanks to your advice, I learned something new. And if it is bought, then it will be your merit too.

Composition is just another aspect of photography, along with lighting...
You used a flash, which has given a harsh shadow. For this kind of photography, one ought to use studio flashes, a diffuser, etc.
And this is where it can get expensive....

as i wrote above, the photo was taken on a phone, in a dark room, with spot light (airport lounge). i didn't use a flash. i liked the colors of the macarons, the white plate, the dark background and the close-up of the fingers. i guess i had one idea of this photo in my head. but in reality i couldn't convey what i wanted. i'm just learning and trying to work with composition, light, processing...it's a whole galaxy of information....Thank you very much for the link

That's a worse case scenario for a picture.
Good pictures in the same sense are always staged. You can't snapshoot that.
