Nice photo however, it seems to me, that the whites are a little to blown out.

Here your photo with the highlights and whites brought down and the shadows increased. 

I also did some sharpening. I think there is now more detail to be seen in the petals.

You were given a reason!

I assume it was "technical issues". The flower is not sharp.

Too blurry, probably because the camera was too close to your subject. 

Next time use a tripod and check your depth-of-field.

Also, Stock's database contains 21+ million flowers.  This will be a tough sell due to fierce competition from other contributors in this category.

Choosing profitable subjects to shoot is probably the biggest challenge for new Stock Photographers.
