Hi:
I'm helping my other half get a stock contributor account up for his illustration work. I've uploaded a good bunch but I'm getting a notice saying he needs to fill out a release for each. I'm a bit confused as to what and whom I'm filling out a release for. There are no models other than us, and all the pics of items are his, the paintings and drawings are his. No recognizable people or places. I've included this one as an example. Is this a big waste of time? We're planning to upload his older work that he retains the rights for as he could use some income.
Any help would be appreciated.

Nice work. It doesn't matter if the models are yourselves, or if the work is art done by yourself... Adobe have no way to know this, and to cover themselves legally, you have to submit a release. So..
* when you are the model, each model must fill in a release (they can also be a photographer). Looking at this one original it isn't certain whether Adobe would want a model release; but prepare a set anyway and submit if required.
* when this is a work of art, the artist must fill in an IP release.
...Submit a property release, where the creator of the artwork signs as owner of the work and the account holder (!!!) signs as artist. Adobe does not know that you created this and assumes you scanned/photographed someone's artwork.
If there are recognizable people in, even if those are you or your “other half”, then you need to submit a model release. If there is nudity implied, even if the face is not visible, you also need to submit a proof that you are not underage.
BTW: Don't use websites

* when this is a work of art, the artist must fill in an IP release. Complication: the "artist" is the photographer and the "owner" is the person making the art. If both of these are one person, they fill in both halves.
* also, don't know if this is relevant but it's best to be careful -- you need to be sure you are submitting your own photos. You CANNOT submit photos on behalf of another artist - not even a spouse. If the artist ("owner") requires payment that has to be an arrangement outside Adobe's purview. They can be your photos of a spouses work, but you can't administer it on behalf of someone else.

The illustrations are your work and you need to sign a release. The safe side for ADOBE.

BTW: Don't use websites signatures in your postings, that could be considered as spam. Also, do not publish mail addresses or phone numbers. A forum moderator will correct this for you.
