Higher rejection rate for AI especially Illustrations

I noticed that my rejection rate for AI images jumped from arround 10% to almost 50% the last weeks. Especially Illustrations or graphic stuff gets rejected a lot now, while photo-realistic images are still pass through much easier. I guess it is only natural, that the bar gets set higher, when tons of AI images gets uploaded. But it feels a bit random what gets rejected and what accepted. Especially when it comes to illustrations.

Have others the same experience over the last couple of weeks? I would find that very interessting.

This is coming up regularily. And it may have different causes. For AI assets it's probably that moderators get more efficient in detecting flaws. Or you just hit an experienced moderator.

Why could illustrations not be rejected?

Sometimes a fresh perspective or two is extremely helpful, feel free to post a few of the rejections if you'd like a peer review.

We've been reading more and more reports here and in the Discord channel regarding higher rejects. This seems like a normal evolution now that there are already 28.5 million AI assets in the database, and Moderators have become more trained and adept at spotting AI issues. Post a couple of your rejects here to receive feedback as to the possible reasons for rejection.

What feels random to you is probably an oversight on your part.  Illustrations have to make sense whether drawn by hand or machine.  Post 1 or 2 examples of rejected artwork and we'll happily provide feedback.

PS.  I hope you're not trying to vectorize AI images.  That's not allowed.

I just wanted a broad overwiev if others experience some change. And I guess it totally makes sense to put the bar for accepting images higher. It's just interessting that illustrations have a much higher rate of rejection than photo realistic stuff. But I guess when it comes to AI the biggest part is Illustrations the moderators have to deal with. So probably the bar is even higher. So in conclusion I will raise my own quality bar, generate and upload more photo realistic stuff and less illustr

Instead of officially reporting the problem and the overload, the increased quality requirement, it's perfectly normal to just start rejecting more than half of the work without explanation? 🙂

Yes. Perfectly normal. Moderators barely have the time to review images in a timely manner, much less critique them and enter into further exchanges from the contributor arguing their decisions. If people don't want rejections, try Red Bubble. Everything is excepted so long as it doesn't infringe upon trademarks. All they have to do is check a box affirming that the image was created and owned by the contributor. And that's it. There is no vetting.

that is, if the moderator does not have enough time, is it completely normal to reject works for which he does not have enough time to check?

You always get an "explanation" of sorts, though it doesn't offer any detail. I'm assuming "Quality Issues"?

There is and was always a rejection reason. That reason is as explicit as always.

And it's not normal that that many bad assets have been added to the database. Obviously, for reasons unknown to us, there are many faulty assets accepted to the database, and they are causing now a lot of work for customers and Adobe to sift them out.

Because I believe there was a time when the mindset was, "It's not perfect but it's still pretty cool because it's AI and it deserves a pass." But that is no longer the case.

Now the reflection started to look like this: these AIs are certainly better than before, but still bad, I'll throw half of them away, I don't have time to watch them? ))))

It is extremely unlikely that Moderators act in such a manner. Though I'm sure they are expected to work as quickly as possible in evaluating images, it seems unlikely that anyone would just delete a bunch because they ran out of time. When they're done working for the day, unreviewed assets remain  the queue for the next Moderator to work on. You seem intent on ascribing bad work behavior to moderators - just because your rejection rate has gone up!

And yet you still haven't uploaded any of your rejects here for feedback...

By @Snouyars

Because moderators were not well trained.

Having bad assets accepted in the past does not give anyone the right to continue submitting bad assets.

And Im not saying, that anyone of you is submitting bad assets, but I know that some contributors do not check their assets as they should, before hitting the submission button. And some of those assets did pass the moderation. And those assets are now making customers angry, as they rightfully state, that it is not their task to sort out bad assets.

If you ever researched a stock database for the asset to be used, you know that you will spend many dollars for that search. You will get angry, when finally the chosen asset turns out to be of bad quality.

Be customer centric.

Seeing some of the accepted assets, I think it is high time to get more rigorous in the selection process. It's not the customer's task to sort such assets out.

Yeah, you're not alone.
How many downloads do you usually do a day?
And I don't know if it could be related to income.
My income went up to $150 and these weird things started happening!
I had about 600 images in my queue to review.
And that queue was about a month and a half wait!
Then, I noticed that images started being accepted in batches of 50, sometimes even 100, and eventually those 600 were accepted very quickly.
But, after that, half of the new uploaded images started to be rejected for no apparent reason!

=============

There is ALWAYS a reason.  It's stated in the rejection message you received from Stock.

So there is always a rejection reason, even if you don't understand what it means.

I've been watching this forum for a few weeks now, and have observed some very interesting discussions in other threads.
As I recall, no one has been able to point out the difference between accepted and non-accepted works. And the most interesting thing is that all those posts disappeared somewhere to be referenced! 🙂
