The histogram shows that the picture is underexposed.
Besides the too soft feathers, you have artefacts here and there:

You have what looks like 'lens fall off' :
Lens fall off, also known as vignetting, occurs when the brightness of an image decreases towards the edges.
It's dark at the corners.
Noticeable as you used a telephoto lens. You should try to correct this in post-processing.
You also have to even out the exposure.
The artefacts pointed out by @Abambo are a problem as well for stock photos.
