How am I doing?

Hi all,

I started contributing to Adobe Stock in Jan 2023, mostly images I made for fun. I think I'm doing fine, especially as I only consider this a hobby that's making me a little bit of money, but I'd like to get feedback from experienced members here. Do the following stats look "normal" in terms of how well hobbyists normally do on this platform?

430 total downloads

231 rejected (so around an 8.5% rejection rate)

Stats don't tell the whole story. For example, are the downloads coming from different assets or just a few of the same ones?

What percentage were downloaded from the FREE collection vs paid collection? 

What kind of assets are you submitting?

Hi Nancy,

I have about 20 or so assets that have been downloaded multiple times, but no single asset has been downloaded more than 10 times. 

I never opted into the free collection.

I only submit illustrations.

You do not know that. When assets are in the free collection, they are in the free collection. You do not get statistics about them.

No one knows the stats of another contributor. That info simply isn't available to anyone other than Adobe. You can only judge your success against your own expectations. Is the investment of your time worth the payback? That's all that counts.

Hi Jill, thanks. Definitely it's been worth the time I invested into it. I appreciate you confirming there wasn't a way to know other contributors' stats, unless they disclosed the info themselves.

Are you happy with your statistics? If you are, you are doing great. If not, you should stop contributing. Your rejection rate is OK. Adobe considers a rejection rate over 50% as bad. So being under 10% is good.
