I'm losing data from my external drive

Does anyone have a similar problem? it has happened to me X times that I save .psd + jpg + pdf to a folder on an external drive (external SSD Samsung T7 ) I open the folder for example in two days and it is empty, while I sent the jpg+pdf files by email and now they are not there, and note in the folder preview the data is still visible, but inside they are not ... I thought it was a disk error but it is not, I tried the LaCie disk and after some time it did also ... does anyone know what to do with it is frustrating

Does it only happen with those file types? Have you ran a virus scan? What OS are you running?

Win 11, I store only these files (work files) on an external drive and I transfer the drive between 2 PCs
